The Strafford Police fleet consists of 3 cruisers, a sports utility vehicle, and an ATV.  The cruisers and Jeep were purchased from funds raised by individual warrant articles over the years.  The ATV was purchased with monies received from a grant in 2003.  

Each cruiser is outfitted with the CAR 54 system developed by UNH.  At a cost of $10,000 per cruiser, this voice-activated system allows the patrol officer to activate all emergency equipment and radios in the vehicle hands free. The package price includes a voice recognition system, a laptop, and all electronic emergency equipment.
