It's summertime again, and that means that Strafford residents are on the move.  Some of our residents are coming back for the summer, and many are heading out to destinations unknown.  If you are one of those leaving for the summer, consider signing up for the Strafford Police Department's House and Property Check program.  Once you have filled out the form and returned it to the PD, the duty officers will include your home or property on their daily patrols.  Please click here for a printable form.  If you do not choose to take

advantage of this program, consider doing the following:

1. Leave a telephone number where you can be reached with a friend or neighbor.
2. Leave a key with a neighbor.
3. Set timers for your lights.
4. Either place a hold on your newspapers and mail or have a neighbor pick them up.

These four tips will ensure that your return is as restful and relaxing as your vacation!
